Added onto my Olympic Challenge is the fact that I must finish Birch in the next week.
MUST.
Why? Because I need the needle I'm knitting with to knit Market Bag.
I have a million needles and yet, I always need the one I'm using. Is this the Murphy's Law of Knitting? I bet it is.

Jennie, cantcha just use another long cable needle as a holder for birch? Must I really be your auxiliary brain, dear?
Or am I too stoopid about lace that I don't realize that would be a horrible PITA?
Or are you just trying to get motivated to finish the lovely birch?
